- title: Marine Star aka Aquarama aka Crusherama
This ship is the Marine star, built in 1945 by the Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock company. The Marine start was originally built for WWII as a vessel to transport troops. Ten years later the ship was renamed Aquarama and converted into a passenger ship. The Aquarama was only in service for about 7 years. In 1995 she was renamed back to Marine Star and moved to Lake Erie as a final resting place.
One of the more interesting things I found about this ship is the nickname given to it by the media - Crusherama. Apparently this ship has issues with ramming docks, sea walls and other ships. You can read more about the mishaps here.
